Landscape Tractate
Peter Nelson
Peter Nelson has developed a new video animation that comprises landscape images by artists and architects, digitally recreated and then remixed. It seeks to create a new story out of older parts.
Peter Nelson is an artist from Sydney, who works between drawing, animation, sculpture and publishing. Nelson graduated from UNSW Art & Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, the University Medal for Fine Arts and a Masters of Fine Arts. He has undertaken residencies in Sydney, Beijing, Paris, Taipei and Chongqing. He has held exhibitions in Sydney, Melbourne, Launceston, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tainan and Chongqing. He recently curated the exhibition Grids and Stones at Hong Kong’s prestigious HanArt TZ Gallery, founded by curator Johnson Chang. This included works by Peter Nelson, MAP Office, Leung Kui Ting and Hsu Yu-Jen.
